Finished Reading Friday: March 3,2017

     Since I last posted a FRF post, I've finished three books (Two audiobooks). I finished The Black Key by Amy Ewing which was amazing, but at the same time, so, so sad. I finished it a month ago, but am having a hard time putting into words all of the feelings that I felt while reading this book.



     I also listened to the Confessions of a Murder Suspect audiobook by James Patterson. To say the least, I wasn't impressed. the narration was okay, the writing was pretty bad, and you just could not relate to Tandy or any of the other characters. I won't be reading the rest of the series any time soon, or possibly ever, and have found that I have a really hard time with James Patterson's books as a whole.




     I also listened to Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, which I enjoyed. The series  (Four books) has been recommended to me by friends, family, and Goodreads, so I thought I'd give it a try. I really want to read the next book, but am going to have to wait until I finish up the other books that I'm reading because my e-Library doesn't have the others in audiobook form.

Finished Reading Friday: February 3,2017

     This week I finished two books. I will get my full reviews out later next week, but here's a tidbit about how I felt with each one.




     I don't know where to even start with this one... But I do know that I revoke every good thing I ever said about Tamlin. That guy is the biggest jerk ever. He may be on my "Most hated characters" list up there with Bella Swan. (We won't get into that right now.) Rhysand is a total snark, but he truly and deeply cares for Feyre. I mean he's a jerk for keeping her out of the loop, but I do understand that that would have put her in even more danger than she already is in.  Final thoughts, I need A Court of Wings and Ruin to be released now! Only 117 more days.

     I am SO DONE with this series. When the next book(s) come out, someone please read them and just tell me what happens. Though, with Turbo Twenty-Three, I almost had to put the book down... I absolutely, positively, whole-heartedly despise clowns. When they figured out a clown was doing the killings, and he was trying to kill Stephanie, I has to kind of skip that part. I was surprised I made it to the end of the book with the clowns honestly.

                                                      

Finished Reading Friday

     This week, I finished reading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. I don't even know what to say, or how to say it... This book... ALL THE FEELS. Seldom have I read a book or series that has just plain ripped out my soul and held it hostage. The characters were so wonderfully developed, you can just see and feel the surroundings at the Spring Court, and you feel like you're part of the family with Lucien, Tamlin, and Feyre. I'm hoping that the second and third books, A Court of Mist and Fury and A Court of Wings and Ruin are just as good, if not better. I highly recommend this book, if you're wanting a heart wrenching, suspenseful fantasy book, this one is it.

Finished Reading Friday

    I'm starting something new today. Every Friday, I'm going to share with you the books that I've finished this week. A short and sweet explanation of my feelings, and give you a link to grab it for yourself!

    This week, I've finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling and Top Secret Twenty-One by Janet Evanovich.

    I liked this book, but didn't love it. I really didn't like Viktor Krum, honestly, and I don't know how Hermione fell for him. Fleur Delacour wasn't to great either. She reminds me of the popular girls in high school who don't associate with you unless you're a cheerleader or a jock. Are veelas the cheerleaders of the magical world?

     The storyline felt a little rambunctious. Harry, Hermione and, after Harry and he were done fighting, Ron, were constantly in the library. You can't exactly write a book about three kids sitting in the library reading for a whole school year. 

     The last few chapters, where Harry and Cedric are transported to the graveyard where Volemort is, was honestly the most interesting part of the book. Yes, the events of the Triwizard Tournament were good, but I felt they were lacking detail. The only event that was pretty detailed was the second one. 

     Once again, Stephanie is chasing down a bad guy, gets her car(s) blown up, gets her apartment blown up, and goes between Morelli and Ranger. I don't know why I'm still reading these, other than I want to know who she marries. The thirty-third book just came out, so I'm reading number twenty-two right now.

     I think this will be a more frequent post here on the blog, given that I finish at least one book a week. I'll be back next Friday with at least one finished book.
