WIP Wednesday

This week, I have a ton of things on my plate. 3 projects that I'm actively working on, and probably 50 other things I should be working on. First project, which has gotten the most love this week is my Cable Hugger by Karima Sundarji in Red Heart Super Saver "Country Rose" on size 7 needles. Project Page The Cable Hugger KAL (As well as the Geneveive CAL) have been extended to November 30, Midnight CST, so come join in, we'd love to knit with you!

Spinning Frenzy

These last two days, I have been in a spinning frenzy... I finished spinning the singles of the Corriedale, Navajo plied it, washed, thwacked, and dyed it, and it's now drying. I got some more Alpaca in the mail today, so I started on that and have been spinning, spinning, and spinning. I am almost halfway through the first of the two batts I received. For the Corriedale, I got 85 yd of a Navajo Ply, lace-light fingering weight (16 WPI) here's a picture before I over dyed it.

Maybe, I'll get through the Alpaca tonight and get it plied tomorrow! Who knows!

As for knitting, I re-cast on my Cable Hugger and am almost back to the point where I ripped it out! I also purchased some fabric to make another Project Bag :) Well, of to sew I go!

WIP Wednesday

This week, it is mostly sweater knitting. I have 2 sweaters on the needles for me that I have been working on, and a baby sweater that is should be working on, but need to tink back. I also am working on a cabled cell phone purse and the elf earwarmers.
I have been rapidly working on the many pieces of the cable hugger by Karima Sundarji in Red Heart Super Saver "Country Rose" on size 6 needles. I will say everything looks so tiny when it's not blocked out. But hopefully everything will come to size when I do block it. Project page

Fo Friday

This week I have 3 FOs, 2 of which I don't have a picture for because they are on their way to the recipients. First, I'll start with the non-photos. I finished my barter socks, plain vanilla socks with 7 in of rib on size 3 needles in 100% Romney wool.

I also finished a pair (1/20) of the elf earwarmers in Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn "Christmas Sparkle" on a size G hook.

Now for the one with a picture. I finished another rainbow slouching hat in Red Heart Super Saver "Bikini" on size 9 needles.

The Delayed Finishing

Though I didn't have any FOs to share yesterday, I do have 2 projects that are so close to being done, they'll be off in the mail by the time next Friday rolls around the corner.  First off are the barter socks. I just need to do a total of 10" (12cm) 1x1 ribbing for the cuff(s). Remember, I'm adding another 3" to the completely finished sock so that, instead of A 4" cuff (a little taller than an anklet) it will be a 7" cuff for a more mid calf height. They are in 100% white Romney wool on size 3 DPN. I haven't worked on it since I turned the heel, but as soon as I finish the other project, which I am about to show, they will get finished.
