Playing Catch Up

So I haven't been writing much, hopefully that'll change. But I have been doing a lot lately! Knitting, Spinning, and even sewing! I worked on mainly a few projects for a while, but now I'm back to my normal self.

Knitting
I cast the Wood Elves Gloves by Christelle Nihoul  on for the Ravellenic Games last month, but I'm still on the first glove. I'm Kind of worried that I won't have enough for the other glove. I'm knitting it in Claudia's Hand Painted Yarns Fingering "Peony" on size 1 needles, and size 2 for the fingers.

I'm also knitting on Buttony Sweater by Katie Marcus using Purl Essence Rainbow Classic "Bright Pink" on size 9 needles. I cast this on early last month. It's just a basic raglan, super simple sweater. It's all bunched up on the needle, but there's really not much to see, I'm just working on the sleeve increases.

I've also finished a few things since I last posted. These are just simple projects that I've knit up using my own mind patterns.

These were a custom order. Extra Long fingerless gloves knit in Red Heart Super Saver "Bikini" on size 5 needles.

These are cell phone purses knit out of RHSS "Gold" and "Petal Pink" on size 7 needles. I also knit a yellow one but forgot to snap a photo before I sent it on it's way. (The gold one is for sale in my Etsy shop)

Spinning

I've been spinning a lot lately, but haven't exactly finished anything. (yet) Remember the Joyful Sheep "Superhero" I was spinning? Haven't touched it since early February. And this Nurturing Fibres "Seashell" I started for the Ravellenics, well, I should be done by now. How much does it look like I have left? An ounce? Ounce and a half? Well, I'm not sure, but it's somewhere in that range.

I did though, receive 2 new drop spindles. One is lightweight (right) and one is a medium weight (left) I started using the heavier one immediately because the day before, I have received my the Joyful Sheep order of 10 oz of "Zebra" Fiber! I'm spinning this fiber for my Mel Ski March-April KAL (More on that later)

I finished the first skein last week, I really love how it turned out! I'm almost done with the first braid already. To be able to have enough of this fiber spun to knit Hana Hou by Mel Ski (for my Mel Ski March-April KAL) I need to get about 195-200 yds per Ounce! I mean, I have before, I just have to spin really thin. I got 100 yds exactly in the first skein after its bath. Chances are, I'm going to have to get another few ounces, which trust me, is no bother at all. Rachael's fiber is ah-ma-zing! I highly recommend her fiber!

I'll be using the light weigh spindle to spin up the sample that came with my fiber. This is her Roving of the Month sample for February.

I also got a 1 oz sample when I bought my spindles. It's double coated Shetlannd wool.

Sewing

I've been sewing a lot of bags for my etsy shop lately. Here's all of them available so far. I hope to have some more up soon.
