Vote for the Sept/Oct KAL/CAL!

Hey y'all! I am going to have both a knit and crochet garment-a-long, so I need help choosing which one for each craft! Head on over to the Podcast Ravelry group and vote! Here's a peek at the polls! We won't be starting the KAL/CAL until probably September 9, so you have about a week and a half to vote! Feel free to cast a vote for either, or both, crafts. As you can see, I already cast my vote!

WIP Wednesday

This week, I am focused on getting the Barter Socks finished so I can work on the Elf Ears Ear-warmers shop order I got started. I finished the 1st sock last night. They are knit on size 3 dpn in White 100% Romney wool, size men's 10.5/11, 48 st around, with a fleegle heel. It has a 4" 1x1 rib cuff, but I plan to take out the bind off and make the leg longer.

FO Friday

This week, I have 2 FOs, which is pretty good for me! On Monday, I finished the Crocodile stitch baby booties, in a rainbow gradient,  on a size D hook.

Then last night, I finished the gray infinity scarf. It was knit in Caron Simply Soft "Gray Heathers" on size 10 needles. It has such a great drape and it is sooooo soft! :)

WIP Wednesday

Here it is, late Wednesday night, and I'm knitting and watching podcasts. Knitting in Circles to be exact. I only have one Work-in-Progress this week, and I am not even going to bother with a picture because I am almost completely done with it. I will simply just explain it.
I am knitting another Blues Infinity Scarf by Jenny Withrow. I am completely in love with this pattern, it is so simple and easy to memorize! This is my fourth times knitting it, does that show you how much I love it? This time I am knitting it in Caron Simply Soft "Gray Heathers" on size 10 needles. I love Caron Simply Soft too, it's so.... soft! It's definitely going to drape amazingly, it already is! I should be done, either tonight, or early tomorrow afternoon. I'm just knitting until I run out of yarn. Project Page
I will be working on the Barter Socks when I finish this scarf, since they need to get done. The socks are done on size 3 DPN in 100% Romney Wool. Project Page
Well, until FO Friday, see ya!

Button Bleakness

First I want to say, just because buttons are pretty, don't buy them if you haven't looked at your pattern to see what size you need. Yes, I know, it's common sense, but I didn't even want to think that these buttons would be too big.  They were so pretty! So 97 cents later, they were mine. My guess is you want to see what buttons I am talking about... so here ya go.

A Pictureless WIPW (Well Thursday...)

This week I have 2 active WIPs. The vanilla socks and the Crocodile stitch baby booties. I would just like to start with this, this post will be pictureless.  I frogged the vanilla socks all the way, because it was 4 stitches off. That 4 stitches made a HUGE difference. It looked like I was making a pair of wool socks for Bigfoot or Ronald McDonald, I mean they were humongous! Luckily, it didn't take to long to get to the point I was at, (the ribbing) only 5 day's work. Which with moving and packing and such, it doesn't feel like long. Project Page

The Crocodile stitch baby booties are halfway done, I finished the first and am working on the sole of the second one. I am trying my hardest to match the rainbow gradienting. I am really liking the pattern, but I wish it was with bigger yarn and a bigger hook. It uses light fingering and a size D hook. Project Page

The gradient Corriedale that I am spinning is finally at the pink part, which also means I am almost ready for plying, which I am going to navajo ply it to keep the gradienet-ness. I will definitely re dye the blue and purple parts since they faded and probably the pink if it fades after a nice wash and thwack. Project Page

Moving is definitely a work in progress. It is looking much cleaner in here though. The walls (most of them) have had the holes filled and re painted so they look nicer.

I will keep you all updated on that as well as my knitting, crocheting, and spinning. So until next time, see ya!

Mostly a Spinning Post

Though I haven't been posting often, I promise I am not lacking in knitting and spinning. I have been working furiously on the Casablanca, Crocodile Stitch Baby Booties, Baby Sweater, and now a pair of Vanilla socks. The crocodile stitch botties and vanilla socks are both for a trade, so they are my obligation crafting right now. When the obligation crafting isn't going on, I am either working on Casablanca, which is almost half way done, or spinning the Corriedale I recieved.

WIP Wednesday

This WIPW, I am working on my Casablanca Corset by Annie Modesitt. It's being knit in Red Heart Super Saver "Petal Pink" on size 7 needles. I have about 10 inches left to knit then I can do the sleeve caps and "afterthought" sleeves. Project Page.

I am spinning up some of the Corriedale that I dyed on  Saturday. It's a pink-purple-blue gradient. I will say, it is kind of sticky... And thanks to Ravelry, I now have project pages for my spinning! Project Page
